Founded at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Ellacard was designed to bring modern technology to the e-card industry in an effort to make it easier to stay meaningfully connected in an increasingly remote world.
We strive to offer the most comprehensive, advanced, and easy-to-use features around e-cards and e-invitations.

Anyone should be able to create an amazing, memorable card / invitation. Our best-in-class card editor encourages creativity and makes it easy to share personalized messages and media, including our unique group videos, resulting in beautiful and immersive cards and invitations with unique effects.
Designed for business
Businesses with remote workers depend on Ellacard to maintain a sense of community and loyalty. We prioritize the needs of our business customers in our extensive platform of business-oriented tools built around our core e-card product, both for internal use (e.g. rewarding employees) and for external use (e.g. outreach to customers).

Designers
Ellacard's designs are sourced from both internal staff and external designers through our design program, open to anyone. Ellacard has hundreds of registered external designers.
Founders
Francesco Balestra
Having begun his career as an aerospace engineer, Fran has strong foundations in tech, but has since moved towards business with an MBA from Harvard Business School. He has worked in e-commerce and venture capital since 2016.
Alex Exarhos
Alex has been building software in Seattle for 10+ years. His résumé includes large companies like Amazon and Google, but also a number of startups and other ventures. He is an expert in building secure, scalable, user-friendly systems from the ground up, both consumer and business-oriented.
